Kaf-e-Ainah – A Brief Introduction:
Kaf-e-Ainah is the fifth and final collection of poetry by the renowned Pakistani poet Parveen Shakir, published posthumously in 1997. The book is considered representative of her intellectual and poetic maturity, in which themes such as identity, self, the inner world of a woman, resistance, and personal evolution are explored in depth.
The special thing about this collection is that its manuscript was with the poet at the time of her sudden death, which was published later. Kaf-e-Ainah, although associated with other books included in Mah-e-Tamam, is often presented in a separate status. This collection contains both ghazal and nazm genres and holds an important place in Urdu literature.
