name of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan (1817-1898) better known as the founder of Aligarh Muslim
University is associated with the spread of Homeopathy in India. He was the
patron of Homeopathic Hospital and Dispensary at Banaras opened in 1867 On
17th September 1867 Sir Ahmed Khan delivered long and spiritual lecture on the
history and principles of Homeopathic system and emphatically declared that
this system of Medicine was superior to all methods of treatment in efficacy
and safely. In the same year, he scripted a booklet on Homeopathic treatment of
Cholera on Homeopathic Principles.
